Empowering Financial Trust Among Friends
LENDSHIP
MY ROLE
I led this project’s design in a team collaboration.
THE CHALLENGE
Lendship's founders envisioned a transformative mobile app that goes beyond conventional agreements between friends.
With initial Figma sketches in hand, the concept aimed to seamlessly connect users' banking information, enabling efficient payment facilitation, automated reminders, and, as a last resort, streamlined collections.
THE SOLUTION
In response to Lendship's visionary concept and preliminary Figma sketches, we crafted a user-centric solution that seamlessly facilitates friend-to-friend agreements.
The design not only facilitates straightforward connections to users' banking information but also streamlines payment processes, sends automated reminders, and provides a reliable system for collections when necessary.
We prioritized clear visual hierarchy and intuitive navigation, creating a cohesive and engaging interface. Each part of the loan experience was simplified to a few intuitive steps, and automated reminders were strategically implemented to enhance user accountability.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, the collections feature was designed to be efficient yet respectful of user relationships.
This UX/UI design project for Lendship showcases my commitment to transforming abstract ideas into tangible, user-friendly solutions.
It underscores a proficiency in understanding user needs, creating seamless digital experiences, and addressing potential challenges in the friend-to-friend financial landscape.
The result is an app that not only meets the founders' vision but also sets a new standard for simplicity and effectiveness in managing financial agreements among friends.

Design & Technology Collaboration
Lendship is a peer-to-peer lending app that first appeared to me as a handful of rough Figma sketches and a list of screens as business requirements.
With a visual designer, I collaborated with the Lendship team to settle on a visual identity.
To serve as a design roadmap, a comprehensive user journey was formed by working with the development and leadership team.
I produced a design strategy by exploring competitors and similar apps - offering multiple design comps and working with the Lendship team to gain approval for a direction.
While the initial intent was to produce a design system and representative screens, a design system and nearly 100 dev-ready screens were produced for the development team to implement.
